Strong action late in the day pushed the indices into the green, barely. Breadth was lousy but volume picked up the pace, especially late. I like the action of late as we are seeing some bullish characteristics. It's too early of course to call the turn, but charts are shaping up nicely. Gold was very strong and hit an alltime high, bonds were up but the dollar down and may be in a new downtrend. Expiration Friday is upon us and it usually has some volatile action. Speaking of volatility the VIX fell hard late in the day as well, a good sign. Perhaps the summer rally is just around the corner?
